NEW -31st January: Some extra items of lost property were added to the list below

NEW - Julie Qinn and David Baldwin's winning route in Google Earth kml format (Install the free Google Earth program first if not already installed). David comments - "My estimate of 98km was pretty good - 97.9km for this track!

They key was very much resisting going to too many controls. As you can see we deliberately skipped 24, 22, 25, 21, etc even though they each may have only taken an extra 15-20 mins. 2 of those skipped was potentially another 70+ pointer later on!"

NEW - Control splits, Google Earth routes, control visitation etc can be found HERE

NEW - Photos from the event can be viewed and downloaded HERE

Welcome!

Rogaining Tasmania is proud to host the 2011 Australian Rogaining Championships. They will be held in the northern midlands of Tasmania with the Hash House being approximately one hour from Launceston and two hours from Hobart. Detailed directions to the event will be emailed out to all competitors.

The terrain will be a mixture of open plains (farmland) and steeper lightly wooded hills. Many gullies have thicker vegetation lowering visibility. For more information including photos please see General Information

The Organising Team

The event director is Christine Brown. The setting and vetting team consists of John Brock, Karen Pedley, Darryl Smith and Nigel Davies. The map is being prepared by renowned cartographer, Mike Morffew. Finances are managed by Ross Kelly, transport coordination by John Brammall and website & entries by Bernard Walker. Rod Bilson manages the timing & scoring software.

Competitions

A "Roving 15 Hour" event will be held in conjunction with the 24 Hour Australian Championship event. Competitors can spend any time they like on the course up to a maximum of 15 hours. The Roving 15 Hour event is not an "Australian Rogaine Championship" title.
